More Information About New Balance 992

New Balance 992 was launched in 1982. To celebrate the 100th anniversary of New Balance in 2006, New Balance 992 was released. Nineteen years after the first release of New Balance 992, the company decided to reissue it on January 15, 2020, and launch more color schemes and collaborations.

  • Features of New Balance 992

"Made in America" 992 uses high-quality materials and support comfort, making it highly sought after when it was first released in 2006. Each pair is carefully crafted in a New England factory, representing New Balance's unwavering commitment to those who walk their own way.

Q&A For New Balance 992

  • Are New Balance 992 comfortable?

The New Balance 992 is a really comfortable shoe that goes with every outfit. 992 is, in my opinion, the coolest New Balance collection. Also, these shoes are extremely comfortable, and I suggest ordering a standard size. Buy 992 if you want to wear shoes that go with everything.
  • What is the difference between New Balance 992 and 991?

For those unfamiliar, the difference refers to the shift in shape and technology from the 991 in 2001 to the 2006 New Balance 992, the latter a bacon design that enjoyed its first vintage this season. New Balance made a big bet on the 992, a very big one. It needed a special product to mark the New Balance brand's 100th anniversary.
  • How does the New Balance 992 fit?

The New Balance 992s are true to size for me. If you have long or big feet, they can be a little tight at the end, so going half a size up from your usual size is also a choice.
  • What year did New Balance 992 come out?

Originally released in 2006 to celebrate New Balance's 100th anniversary, the New Balance 992 follows the 991 as the brand's most popular shoe model to date thanks to special collaborations and great general release colorways. Ten years after being taken off the shelves, the American-made 992 is back with the same quality materials and supportive comfort that made it a favorite when it was first released in 2006.

Solid Shoe

This is very well built shoe. Very supportive. I am a little disappointed in the cush appeal though. I have an old pair of NB-803s that are still more cushy than the 992s. But over all a pretty good shoe. If I would ever buy another pair of 992s? My answer would have to be NO. I will look for a better replacement of my old 803s. I use them to work in on cement floors all day and I need more cush.

Very good shoe, but not as good a fit as the NB 842. I have narrow feet. The 842 AA width was a great fit. The 992 AA is too narrow in the front of the shoe, though perfect in the heel. the 992 B width is fine at the toes, but the heel is too wide.
